On 28th June 2011, the East Midlands Conference Centre at the heart of the University of Nottingham played host to The Big Bang East Midlands, the region's largest celebration of young scientific and engineering talent.

The regional STEMNET director commented: "It was excellent - professional, well organised, lively, well attended."
