FREE Festive Flower Arranging at Fenscape
Residents of South Holland can get Festive this week with Fresh Flowers as part of the Horti'cultural' Festival at Springfields that is taking place over the next five months.
The Flower Arranging Demonstration will be offering the opportunity to get hands on and involved as Pat Ashley, who is leading the session will be encouraging those attending to create their own floral masterpieces.
The arrangements that Pat will be creating, will be easy ideas for the display of seasonal fresh flowers in an elegant and stylish way. Those that attend don't need to have any prior experience of flower arranging and Pat will be providing the flowers and materials needed for the hands on element.
The event taking place in the Bellamy Room at Fenscape and is free to attend but places will be limited to 24 for this event and will be on a first come, first seated basis except for those taking advantage of the Nursery Voucher Scheme as they need to book in advance, the voucher scheme is for parent's of pre-school children.
Ann Baxter who attended who attended the Landscape Painting Session said,
“Last weeks event was brilliant and I really enjoyed learning about new ideas for Garden Design and Planting. I'm definitely coming back for the Flower Arranging Event and can't wait to get involved, and it's free which makes it even better.”
The Festival, which has been funded by the department of Business Innovation and Skills through their Learning Revolution -Transformation Fund, has received £10k which will enable Fens Forward at Fenscape – The Fens Discovery Centre and Springfields Horticultural Society, to put on eighteen themed events including demonstrations, talks and hands on activities.
