Parents of pre-school children can also attend as there is a free Nursery Voucher Scheme with a local registered Nursery.
Nicola Carr, Fenscape Manager says,
"I have always been fascinated by the use of herbs, they're such a versatile plant and very easy to add to your lifestyle and it's quite amazing how diverse their uses are, from food and medicine to their uses in warfare and witchcraft and we can't wait to discover some of these uses through the Festival. It's a brilliant subject to explore and we hope that people come along and join us at the event."
The Festival, which has been funded by the department of Business Innovation and Skills through their Learning Revolution -Transformation Fund, has received £10k which will enable Fens Forward at Fenscape – The Fens Discovery Centre and Springfields Horticultural Society, to put on eighteen themed events including demonstrations, talks and hands on activities.
