Land of Oz comes to Springfields Gardens

Fenscape, the Fens Discovery Centre at Springfields has launched its Summer Family Trail around the Springfields Gardens and already over 30 children have taken part.

Based on the ever popular movie 'The Wizard of Oz', children and their families can explore the gardens and, following the yellow brick road on a specially designed Oz Map, look for the answers to questions.

There are all sorts of surprises hidden in the gardens from Munchkins to Monkeys.  Children who take part receive a Munchkin lolly and are entered into a weekly prize draw to win tickets to local and regional attractions, all of which were kindly donated to Fenscape.  The quiz costs just £1 to enter; great value for money and an exciting and fun activity to take part in.  Fenscape is also running a range of Oz related craft and activity sessions where you can create a variety of items from Lion Masks to Flying Monkeys and Wands to Tiaras.

Nicola Carr, Fenscape Manager says, "The Oz Trail is fantastic and everyone involved has put in so much effort to ensure that the Trail looks great and is as realistic as possible - it's a real movie extravaganza!  The children who have taken part so far have really enjoyed themselves, and their families have too which makes all the hard work everyone has put in more than worthwhile."
